Painting with his heart and feelings, Dutch Grand Master Vincent Van Gogh’s “Olive Trees,” express the frantic emotion they inspired in him. Van Gogh (1853 – 1890), a post-Impressionist who powerfully influenced numerous major artistic movements, endured a lifetime of unrequited love, disappointing friendships and depression. His years spent recuperating in Saint-Remy were also his most productive ones, producing 150 of his most exceptional works which drew critical acclaim during exhibitions at the time.
